Chocolate Caramel Walnut Cookies

Once in awhile, we create a special cookie for a special event or holiday. In 2012, the holiday of Shavuot coincided with the beginning of Summer also known as Memorial Day. In order to commemorate that synchronicity of calendar (a dairy filled holiday and the first legal chance for an ice cream sundae), we decided to make a cookie based on our favorite parts of an ice cream sundae: the fudge, the caramel sauce, and walnuts.

Additionally, we have a nut-free version with caramel chips and chocolate chips to replace the walnuts.
